1. Data controller

Mijas Insider is an editorial guide to Mijas powered by SolProp, a Costa del Sol real estate agency. The controller of the data you give us is:

2. What data we process

Only what you give us through the forms: your email address and, depending on the form, your name, phone number, what you are interested in (buying, investing, relocating…), your message and the page you contacted us from. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies (see the cookie policy).

3. Why we use it and legal basis

  • To answer your enquiry and put you in touch with a local SolProp advisor about living, buying or investing in Mijas. Legal basis: your consent, given by ticking the box on the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and steps taken at your request before entering into a contract when you ask about buying or renting a property (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
  • We do not send newsletters or regular marketing emails, and we do not sell or hand over your data to third parties for their own purposes.

You can withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us. This does not affect processing carried out before.

4. How long we keep it

For as long as we are handling your enquiry and any relationship that follows from it. After that we delete it, unless the law requires us to keep it blocked for a period to deal with possible liabilities. We delete it sooner if you ask us to.

5. Recipients and processors

  • The SolProp team, who answer the enquiries.
  • Web3Forms, the service that delivers form submissions to us by email.
  • The customer relationship management (CRM) system SolProp uses to record and follow up enquiries.
  • The hosting provider of this website.

These providers process data only on our behalf and under our instructions.

6. International transfers

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area, for example in the United States. Where that happens, the transfer relies on the safeguards provided for in the GDPR, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified.

7. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to info@mijasinsider.com. If you believe we have not handled your request properly, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es).
